Patchwork Scottie Dog

Good Evening all,  The last week or so I have been working on a present for my boyfriends mum which has been a soft toy patchwork Scottie dog. I found the pattern and step by step guide in an old craft book that I bought from the charity shop for a pound.
It's been a labour of love for many an hour and nearly gave up halfway through. It's my first patchwork and first soft toy, and it's all hand stitched.

Here he is, I'm pleased for a first attempt

 

 

So what do you think?  I am thinking of doing my first craft stall next  year and selling these in different colours. Do you think they would sell?

Well it’s taken me most of the day but I have managed to make my new winter scarf/necklace that I was inspired to do from the walk along the beach and the pictures I took in my last post.

Love finger knitting and playing with colours.

Beach Weekend away makes me want to craft

Had a lovely weekend away near blackpool this weekend with a 10 mile walk from Cleveleys to Fleetwood on Saturday, took some photos along the way that have inspired me to make something warm when i get home, as it was cold walking on the beach.

Hello everyone, My name is Joanne and I love fashion, crafts and more importantly finding that bargain.

I love making things and finding things cheap that look expensive, I find a real sense of pride when somebody asks me where I got something and I say I made it, or when somebody says that looks really expensive and it only cost a couple of pounds.

So this is where I will now post my crafts, designs, and inspirations as well as some of my photographs. Please feel free to follow my journey and comment on my posts.

I volunteer in a charity shop and I am in  tomorrow morning and I always come home with something as it’s so hard when you are sorting through stuff not to fall in love with an item. After that I am away for the weekend so I will show you my finds on Monday.
